Wilmes affair continues: Actions aimed to protect whistleblowers, says Medical Council

In a press release published on Friday, the Medical Council set out the reasons for its intervention against orthopaedic surgeon Dr Philippe Wilmes. The affair first came to light at the beginning of the year, when Dr Wilmes was suspended following an investigation launched by the Medical Council after receiving several alerts.
